Founder, LE Geste/Computer Training for the Deaf 

Cohort 15, Democratic Republic of Congo
Bonte is the Founder of Le Geste which has trained over 3,000 deaf and blind people in computer skills, by creating the first african computer dictionary in sign languages, which allowed him to be certified as a young African innovator in education by the African Union. During COVID 19 pandemic, Bonte Kuru Divin wored to make sure deaf people have access to #COVID19 information to better protect themselves from the virus.  He produced a short video where he uses sign language to share #COVID19 health guidance with the global deaf community. He covers best practices for prevention, identifying symptoms, & what to do if you are sick. The video has been shared numerous times and received recognition from USAID, US Embassy and the media in DRC. In Kinshasa, 450 deaf people have been trained, some of whom are already in the professional world and meet the various social needs of their families.
